La marée rouge est une œuvre de found footage qui explore la dégradation de la pellicule à travers sa matérialité. Une bobine de 8 mm, trouvé chez un antiquaire, intitulé Ouest Américain #1 a lancé ce projet. La teinte rougeâtre de son noyau a intrigué les réalisateurs. Ce film est le résultat d’une recherche qui tente de répondre aux questions que ce film original de 1964 soulève.

Crimson Tide is a work of found footage that explores the degradation of film through its materiality. An 8 mm reel, found at an antique store, entitled Ouest Américain #1 launched this project. The reddish tint of its core intrigued the directors. This film is the result of research that attempts to answer the questions that this original 1964 film raises.
